The exercises on this DVD are based on the principals
of Bioenergetic Analysis, a traditional form of psychotherapy that explores how mental
and emotional difficulties are expressed in the body.
The movement routines
reduce anxiety, frustration, pent
up anger, even depression. Two levels
of the exercises are demonstrated -- one for those who prefer a gentle approach, and another more intense routine.
Approximately 30 minutes of stress relieving exercises are followed by a brief body centered meditation to help
integrate any insights or thoughts that may arise during the exercises.
Also included is additional information on the science and practice of Bioenergetics.

This DVD is especially for the person who has struggled with feeling anxious, depressed, disconnected from their life, or dead in their living,
and for who talk therapy has gone
about as far as it can.
Getting into your body will bring not just stress relief, but reduction of the anxieties
that build up during the normally frustrating life.

I'm in a training program (student) for Gestalt therapist at a Gestalt Institute in Denmark (GIS). I'm a first
year student. I'm very fascinated in Bioenergetics and how effective it is to reduce stress and to become aware
of what is going on the body. I have been very much in my head earlier in my life. The DVD was very easy to follow
and I will recommend warmly to my student friends and other friends in Europe.
Warmly, Petra

Dear Diana, Nicole and Maggie, I have just received the DVD and had my first look at it. It looks great! The wait
has been worthwhile. Thanks for the additional DVD. I will share it with my colleagues. Please keep me informed
of any new initiatives that you undertake.

The DVD was collaborative effort based on the experiences of Nicole, Diana and Maggie's
with Bioenergetic Analysis. Nicole Cardoza Docktor, LCSW, a clinical social worker in private practice as a psychotherapist
in San Diego, California, was teaching these exercises once a week and wondered why they had never been made available
in a home version. Nicole says:
Through bioenergetic training I have
come to understand the important relationship between the body, emotion and cognition. I believe that the three
are weaved together and all need to be contacted in therapy to create lasting change.
I went from a head driven life where I was planning and doing, and life was happening somewhere else -- to an experience-based
life where I was participating in my own being on this planet, and all that came along with that, not letting my
life going by while I was stuck in planning. Bioenergetics takes people into having a full body experience of being human and alive in everything that's happening, joy, sadness, anger, passion,
everything. I found my aliveness in doing this work.
Working with Nicole and
Maggie to produce this DVD is marriage and family therapist and international expert on stress reduction Diana
Guest. Diana says:
I believe strongly in the connection
between our mind, body, and emotions and that all three need attending to in order to facilitate healing and create
lasting change. Growth and change occur best within the safety of an authentic relationship where there is mutual
trust and respect and working with
the body in psychotherapy helps draw out an inner knowledge that no amount of reading or talking could ever do. Whatever your reason for seeking therapy,
it should be a life enhancing experience.
Maggie has used Bioenergetic
Analysis in her practice as a therapist for more than 10 years. An advocate of the methods due to the life-enhancing
effects she has experienced for herself, Maggie says:
…methods that address the body as
much as thoughts and feelings… produce deep
and lasting change that goes far
beyond the relief of symptoms. Mind and body learn to work together effortlessly toward full health. In my experience, this integrative work benefits those experiencing emotional and mood
imbalances, relationship difficulties, trauma or abuse issues as well as challenging life transitions.

If you need to let go of stress, frustration, anger, depression, or anxiety, these exercises done regularly can greatly enhance the psychotherapy or counseling you
may be doing.
Things will move faster in therapy, you'll start feeling more, you'll begin to express more
of your authentic self, and you'll see yourself becoming less anxious and angry. It's a great adjunct to conventional
therapy, and one that expedites the
results you are striving to achieve.
The DVD warms you up as the routine crescendos, but it's not just for the body alone. The concluding meditation
helps integrate the insights, experiences, and bodily felt awarenesses that arise throughout the 30 minutes.
You can go from
feeling dead
to feeling profound aliveness.
